Beads of Courage Program-carry a bead and give a heart warrior hope. HHH recommends enrollment in the Beads of Courage program through Nationwide Children’s Hospital (single ventricles patients) or through the mail-in program.
HHH can subsidized the cost if needed.The major benefits:
•Helps to decrease illness-related distress •Increase the use of positive coping strategies
•Helps children find meaning in illness, and restore sense of self in children coping with serious illness
•Provides something tangible the child can use to tell about their experience during treatment and after.
